Replacing Horizontal Shaft Engines and how to measure your crankshaft on a horizontal engine

You Should

1. Compare overall engine size for possible interference with mounting.
2. Match the Crankshaft's:
          - Diameter "A"
          - Height "B" (Distance from base to   crankshaft
             center line)
          - Length "C" (Distance from the oil seal/cover's 
             mounting face to end of crankshaft)
3. Match crankshaft type, i.e. keyway, tapered or threaded
4. Match crankcase cover's tapped holes for mounting accessories (if applicable)
5. Match base mounting dimensions and bolt hole spacing.
